    What is art?

    Sunday, 04 October 2009 18:28

"Chayarupa" is the Sinhala word for photograph (Sinhala is a language spoken in Sri Lanka).  "Chaya" means shadow and  "rupa" depicts a painting or a drawing.  Shadow painting - my kind of art...

Chayarupa is a blog and a gallery of creative art, photography and poetry.  The work here includes my own and others. The blog is more akin to a magazine and mainly ramblings on topics of interest based on my mood. If I said something here to offend your beliefs, its not intentional, but its my voice about how I feel.

If you do for some strange reason want to use any of the photographs here do let me know.  I will release them for you if it is for non-commercial use. Please do ask before use.

Come in and sit yourself on the floor.  There is a saying that you should not be scared to tell the truth or sit on the floor. You can never fall  from both. There is warm coffee brewing along with honest and open conversation.
